Velocity Stacks
In Greek we have also heard them called funnels, fans, funnels etc.
The name does not matter, but technically for the general public we would say that it is a duct (pipe) that aligns and changes the speed, quantity and flow of the air that enters the intake of an atmospheric engine, helping it at the same time - if necessary - and by fuel management (fuel quantity) can perform at its best.
Sounds simple but believe me it is quite complex and requires a lot of work, knowledge, experience and a lot of testing on proper diagnostic machines to be able to see if the results are what they should be.
To give you an example, on a motorcycle we can design and build 4 and 5 different velocities to get a correct result, which many times may never come and the reason is that from the factory they are built to be almost perfect.
In 1994 I prototyped and built velocities for an '89 HT600 and an FZR1000 EXUP that were requested. After many tests on the dynamometer the result was amazing!!! Since then until today we have built for quite a few models but not for all of them.
This report is due to several messages we have received on whether velocity for different models exist and if they perform correctly.
So I would like you to know that for each model we build, a lot of time is required to design, build and test with the best materials so that the result is guaranteed to increase horsepower and torque.
If this is not achieved they simply do not go into production.
This is why Moto Technology's Velocity Stacks are effective and proven.
Sincerely
Christos Monos - MotoTechnology
